Last week in class we learned about the different elements of photography. below are examples of the ones we learned; simplicity, lines, and framing.
       

     The first picture is an example of simplicity. It works because its the only thing in the picture and you aren't distracted by other things going on. But, I made sure to leave extra space so that it was easy to look at and since there is only one thing in the picture it is the only thing you're looking at. It's simple, but still a good picture.

 The next one is framing. It's different from simplicity because it has more going on. The curtains act as a frame around the lamp, which is the effect the framing picture has.

This picture is an example of lines. The fence is a horizontal line and it adds a lot to the picture. Using the horizontal line makes the picture more defined, but if i used a vertical line it would be hard to look at. The horizontal line flows better with the picture. It also shows how the fence is connected to the ground and where the grass touches it.

Piracy Podcast

When my group and I made our podcast we kept in mind the copyright laws. We used Garageband which has music and other things that are fair use. We used the features that came with Garage band and they were used legally. We also used picnik.com to edit the photo that we took. We followed the copyright laws and did not use any material that we were not suppose to or that we did not have the right to use.
I've learned that downloading music illegally is wrong because it's stealing. It is just as bad as walking into a department store or someone's house and taking something that does not belong to you. Copyright laws should exist because they help prevent piracy and they protect artists from their work being stolen. Piracy is relevant because it is happening in our society. people's work is being stolen and no one is being held responsible. I think piracy laws are very good to keep musicians and writers making good creations.So many people get away with piracy that it has become a menial crime. No one really understands that it is wrong and it is unfair. If someone used my podcast without asking I would be offended and I would be mad because my group and I worked hard to create someone and someone stole it. Our podcast is something we are proud of.
